President's Letter

By Gregg Dahleen, NAPIM President

Greetings ink industry members,

I hope your Summer is off to a great start. I am excited to announce the return of our quarterly newsletter, NAPIM News. We have a great year ahead of us with NAPIM leadership planning an invigorating array of events. Inside this newsletter, you’ll find information about these events and what’s new on the horizon for NAPIM.

For those who had the opportunity to attend the Spring Convention this past April, I hope you found it worthwhile. I would like to personally thank Molly and her team for putting on a great event and the NAPIM board for their leadership and support. Industry experts presented on topics near and dear to my heart, with strategies to positively impact our businesses and reset our thinking to improve profitability and long-term value for our companies.

As we build upon the success of the Spring Convention, I am pleased to present some additional learning opportunities with the return of our Digital & Emerging Technologies Conference—a virtual event taking place June 14–15, 2022.  Ink makers, suppliers, converters, and brand owners wanting more advanced training in the areas of digital print technologies are encouraged to register.

In addition, NAPIM will also hold its in-demand Summer Course at the state-of-the-art Sonoco Institute of Packaging Design and Graphics located at Clemson University in South Carolina. On July 18–22, 2022, join your colleagues for five days of education and networking with various meals included. New for 2022 is a course covering the ever-evolving national and international rules affecting the graphic arts industry, and how to build a more effective relationship with suppliers and customers. New and seasoned ink technicians have much to gain by attending.

On behalf of the NAPIM staff and leadership, we look forward to helping you prosper by continuing to offer our members resources that restore, inspire, and expand your skills and knowledge in the areas of print technologies and ink manufacturing.

Please plan on attending our upcoming events—open to members and non-members of the association—and enjoy the June issue of NAPIM News.

Sincerely,

Gregg Dahleen, President
