2024 Summer Course Wrap-Up

The 2024 NAPIM Summer Course at the Sonoco Institute of Packaging Design and Graphics at Clemson University in South Carolina (July 15 - 19) closed another exciting year of education, training and networking focused squarely on the graphic arts.  This 5 day, intense, immersion type training course in printing ink formulation and application combines in-depth, technical instruction with additional hands-on demonstrations covering ink formulation, testing and on-press application.  Enormous thanks to the dedicated team of industry and academic experts who provided this year’s attendees with instruction in raw materials usage and formulation technology.  There is no substitute for the type of practical knowledge and industry experience that these instructors provided to this year’s class.  Each day began at  8:00 am with most days ending at 8:00 pm following a group dinner and technical presentation.  This course is challenging but this year’s class met that challenge with enthusiasm and excitement!  Great thanks and gratitude also to Clemson University, Sonoco Institute of Packaging Design and Graphics and its outstanding staff who once again provided excellent, state-of-the-art facilities and resources for the 2024 course.  Attendees left this year’s course with new knowledge and experience in their fields and a new network of industry colleagues.  Over the years this course has evolved and improved to meet the training requirements of our current industry. NAPIM very much looks forward to the 2025 Summer Course and the opportunity to provide increased, focused and in-depth instruction and hands-on training to next year’s class.
