One of the highlights of NAPIM’s Annual Convention is our Awards Reception and Dinner where we honor the accomplishments and contributions made by members of our great industry.
The Printing Ink Pioneer Award (PIP)
Since 1956 our Printing Ink Pioneer Award has been given as a means of acknowledging the important part that so many people play in making the printing ink industry a respected and vital force among our printer and converter customers. By recognizing these individuals, we are expressing our appreciation not only to them but to the men and women who serve our industry today.

The Ault Award
In 1954 the Ault Award was established in memory of L. A. Ault, who founded one of our country’s earliest printing ink companies some 130 plus years ago. Over the years, it has become the industry’s most respected award. Its purpose is to honor a resident of the United States or Canada in recognition of contributions made in the advancement of the printing ink industry.

The TAM Service Award
TAM Service Award Winner: Dave Tappa, BASF
The Technical Achievement Award
Nominations are solicited from members of both the ink and raw materials industries and the final selection will be made by a committee composed of individuals from both TAM and Active Member companies. The Technical Achievement Award is awarded for making contributions to the science of printing ink formulation, manufacture, or application.
